Hobart Wharves
Conosciuto anche come: Hobart docks
The Hobart wharves are well flushed by the tides and shallower than many expect. School fish gather around the piles, and seahorses and sea stars are scattered across the mud, along with antique bottles uncovered by ship propellers. Introduced Japanese seastars (Asterias amurensis) cover the bottom, so wet gear must not be taken straight to another dive area. Entry is either off a boat or straight off the wharf and leave by the ladders, and Tasports directs them to a safe area.
