Devil's Throat
Conosciuto anche come: Punta Sur · Punta Sur - Devil's Throat
Divers enter the tunnel from the top of the reef and descend through near darkness, where it narrows to about 1.5 m and drops before it opens again. The exit is a sunlit opening on the wall above the abyss, after which most groups ascend over Punta Sur towards Colombia. Further tunnels above and below the exit can be explored, and a light is needed. Glassy sweepers live inside, and eagle rays and sharks are sometimes seen at the exit. The site is exposed at the southern tip of the island, so the boat ride can be rough and currents strong and unpredictable.
