Rat Rock
Rat Rock marks the very west end of Anacapa, named after the rat-like shape the end of the island forms. Stair-step ledges of rocky reef fall away into sand and rubble and continue well beyond recreational depths. The currents that sweep the point feed dense gorgonians, invertebrates, lobsters and fish. Photographers find both wide-angle and macro subjects when conditions allow a dive here.
