Strijenham
Also known as: Gemaal van Strijenham
From the car park divers walk left onto the dike to a marked entry with a rope, then turn right at high water or left at low water. Just below the surface runs a ledge up to two metres high that overhangs in places and becomes more impressive to the east. Blocks in the shallow right-hand part hold small snails, shrimps and pipefish, and blennies often sit near the stair in summer. At night squid often approach divers' lights, and lobsters, crabs and cuttlefish in season complete the picture. The current can be strong at spring tide or in strong wind.
