Sint Annaland
Also known as: Kleine Nol · Stalland
From the harbour divers walk a good 200 metres along the dike to the bend, where they can enter from a beach, by a rope or by a stair. The bottom slopes gently, with sand alternating with growth of sea squirts, large sponges and sea carnations. Nudibranchs, dahlia anemones, pipefish and hermit crabs are common; cuttlefish come in spring and lumpsuckers in the colder months. On a rising tide divers can drift back towards the beach. The narrow channel carries a lot of water, so outside slack the current can be considerable, and boats pass close to the shore.
