Frans Kok Rif

Also known as: Dreischor Frans Kok Rif · Dreischor Parkeerplaats · Zuid Langeweg

Army engineer divers placed the reef in August 2002; the half spheres were cast by sport divers. The reef balls lie right in front of the jetty at about six to nine metres and almost every one is home to a lobster, with sponges, sea squirts and sea anemones on the concrete. A second structure, known as the new reef or the hill of Dreischor, lies a little further out at about seven to fourteen metres. Divers also find odd objects such as the frame of a small greenhouse on the sand. The dive jetty built in 2008 makes the entry easy, and the dike gives shelter on windy days when other sites are blown out.
