Den Osse Haven
Also known as: Den Osse golfbreker · Ossehoek · Blokkendam
From the harbour car park a narrow path leads about 200 to 250 metres to the breakwater, where divers enter at its tip or from the small beach on its sheltered side. The first stretch is shallow sand with weed-covered oyster patches that suit snorkellers and macro photographers. About a hundred metres out the bottom falls steeply along the breakwater, a slope of basalt blocks covered with sea squirts and sponges. When the wind blows, water moves along the wall and its growth is richer than at the nearby Kerkweg. Sea scorpions, pipefish, eelpouts and black gobies are regular finds. Diving in the harbour and on its side of the breakwater is forbidden, and the fairway runs close to the end of the dam.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
