Scharendijke West
Also known as: Kabbelaarsrif · Scharendijke · Scharendijke De Kabbelaar
The Kabbelaarsrif, named after the nearby dive centre, has existed since 2001 and consists of reef balls, concrete blocks and other structures between about five and fifteen metres. Buoys mark the objects: a training platform at about nine metres, the reef balls, and the two small dive wrecks De Zeehond and De Rat, while the deeper wreck Le Serpent lies further out. Sea squirts, anemones and antler sponges grow on the hard surfaces, and crabs, lobsters, starfish, butterfish and pouting live around them. Since fresh sea water is let into the lake all year through the Brouwersdam sluice, visibility varies more but the variety of life has grown. Divers enter from a long jetty with a platform or via a stone stair.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
