Jukabijin

Also known as: 樹下美人 (Japanese) · 米原樹下美人 (Japanese)

The tree-shaped rock stands on the reef at about 8 m and reaches up to around 3 m below the surface. Clouds of anthias around it make it look like a decorated Christmas tree, as one Ishigaki shop puts it. The underside of the tree is covered with strawberry-shaped sea squirts, and the rubble and smaller rocks nearby hold juvenile fish, shrimps and crabs. It is one of the most requested Kabira-area sites and is used for introductory and refresher dives.
