Stonehaven Anchorage

Also known as: Stonehaven

Stonehaven is an anchorage on Hook Island surrounded by extensive fringing reefs. The dive site is shallow, with small and varied coral heads on silty sand. It suits divers who look for small life such as damselfish, Christmas tree worms and nudibranchs. Visibility depends on the tide and is best on neap tides. Boats must use the moorings, as anchoring is banned inshore of the line between Cockatoo Point and Ian Point.
