Ko-Ok

Ko-Ok lies in the northern part of the South Atoll and is known as a quieter, richly coloured alternative to the park's current-swept sites. The reef top begins at around 3 m above a steep wall, with hard and soft coral gardens, sea fans, sponges and crinoids. Schools of jacks, snappers and fusiliers circle above, and LiveAboard.com names it a place for schooling hammerheads; tiger sharks have also been recorded. Macro fans look for frogfish, pygmy seahorses in the fans, nudibranchs and porcelain crabs in anemones, while clown triggerfish and regal angelfish add colour.
