Black Rock

Black Rock is named after a rock at about 8 m where one of the mooring buoys is fixed. Its main attraction is a cleaning station for reef mantas, a rare feature in South-East Asia, where the rays may circle for a long time while cleaner wrasse groom them. The plateau slopes from about 15 to 25 m before the wall, and whitetip sharks often rest on the bottom or cruise with bluefin trevally. Grey reef sharks, Spanish mackerel, barracuda and many green and hawksbill turtles complete the picture. Titan triggerfish are often met at the start of the dive.
