Cueva de Ali Baba

Also known as: Ali Baba Cave

The descent follows a volcanic slope to a broad cave mouth between dark rock and pale sand. Black coral grows around the entrance and becomes larger on the deeper wall and overhangs, with one especially big colony near the exit. Inside, shrimps gather in large numbers and forkbeard, groupers, moray eels and scorpionfish hide in the darkness, while stingrays sometimes rest there. When gas and conditions allow, the dive continues to the Condesito wreck for the decompression stops.
