Shaab Hamam

Also known as: Sha'ab Hamam · Stairway to Heaven · Shaab Hamam, Fury Shoal

The site is not one reef but a cluster of four small reef blocks, and the channels that run between them shape the dive. The eastern channel is the highlight: it climbs gradually towards the surface, which gave the site its nickname Stairway to Heaven. At its end an arch overgrown with soft corals frames the way out. Liveaboards on Fury Shoals routes visit it as one of the quieter sites away from the better-known reefs.
