Habili Ali
Also known as: Abili Ali · Abi Ali
As a habili, the reef stays below the surface, and its oval top rises from deep water, with ridges running off the east and west sides and a plateau on the north. One dive usually covers part of the wall, and the shallow reef top allows a slow drift during the safety stop. Large gorgonians, sea whips and black coral grow in the deeper parts, and crags in the wall open into small caverns where groupers and cardinalfish shelter. Grey reef sharks and jacks are common, while hammerheads, mantas and oceanic whitetips, most likely in May and June, are seen less often, and bottlenose dolphins sometimes pass. Because the current is often strong, the site is considered one of the more challenging dives of the area.
