Thomas Reef
Thomas Reef has no moorings, so the dive starts at the southern corner and drifts along the colourful east wall to a sandy plateau from about 25 m. A row of large gorgonians, black coral and whip corals lines the plateau, and from about 35 m a deep canyon runs parallel to the reef, crossed by a series of arches; Circle Divers says it continues to 92 m and attracts technical divers. Whitetip reef sharks, tuna and barracuda patrol the plateau. At the north-east corner a strong counter-current may stop the dive, but in good conditions the whole reef can be circled, with caves and glassfish on its darker west side.
