Lonely Mushroom

Lonely Mushroom is a solitary circular coral tower, an outlying satellite reef north-west of the Alternatives and Stingray Station. The usual plan is to spiral around it several times, getting shallower each round, and then look at the surrounding plateau, where Umbi mentions some amphoras. Hard and soft corals on the tower hide nudibranchs and small shrimps, which makes it a favourite for macro photographers. Emperor Divers warns that the tower can be hard to find and that it is sometimes part of an overnight Thistlegorm trip.
