SMS Cöln
SMS Cöln lies on her starboard side at a right angle to the seabed, bow roughly north, and rises to about 22 metres at her shallowest. Dive guides single her out as the wreck that best resembles the ship she once was. Highlights include the cylindrical armoured control tower with its viewing slits, the open framework of the bridge, a high-angle gun still on deck and a pair of 5.9-inch guns aft, both pointing astern. Further aft a torpedo tube stands vertically out of the seabed, and bottles lie in the silt around the stern. The engine room was stripped by salvors, but forward of it the hull keeps its original shape.
