Nautilus Wreck

Also known as: Nautilus · Languste

The Nautilus is a German tanker of almost 90 m that sank off Capo Figari during the Second World War and was found by Orso Diving in October 2013. It lies on its starboard side at about 68 to 85 m.

Built in 1921 by Krupp in Kiel, the tanker later carried the name Languste. The hull side facing up is covered in bicolour gorgonians that look like a forest. The deck side is largely intact and its fittings are clearly visible. Sources disagree on whether it sank in 1942 or 1943. It is a technical dive with moderate to strong current.
