Angelita
The upper water can look green and murky before it clears into the fresh water layer that sits above the cloud. The sulphide layer is a few metres thick and looks like a river or fog bank, with dark salt water below it. Dives stay close to the wall, circle the branches above or through the cloud and end with a slow spiral ascent, passing stalactites and a short swim-through near the end. The site is popular with freedivers, and access is by a short jungle path to stairs and a platform. Most dive centres consulted ask for Advanced Open Water certification, and Cave Diving Adventures recommends it.
