El Fondeadero
Three rectangular blocks, lightly grown with coral and full of holes, run from deeper water in the south towards the island in the north. Sand channels separate the boulders. Its usually calm water makes it the common choice for a first dive to check weights and equipment before the more demanding sites. Divers report groupers, lobsters and whitetip and blacktip reef sharks, and one group believed it saw a tiger shark at the edge of visibility out in the blue.
