Lankan Manta Point
Also known as: Manta Point · Lankan Finolhu Faru
Divers drop onto the reef top at about 12 to 15 m, from where the reef slopes gently towards 40 m with a sandy area at around 20 m. Two cleaning stations are used, a shallow one at about 15 m and a deeper one at about 25 m, and the plankton-rich water often looks greyish. Divers settle near the coral heads and wait while the mantas hover in line to be cleaned, sometimes for longer than a tank lasts. Fusiliers, oriental sweetlips, Napoleon wrasse, hawksbill turtles and moray eels are also common, and whitetip reef sharks rest on the sand. The current at the stations can be moderate to strong.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
