Sunlight Thila

The sand between the two reefs is about 60 to 70 m long and dotted with small coral heads where many cleaner wrasses live. Divers settle near the sand and watch the mantas circle while they wait their turn, and ten or more at a time are not unusual. Away from the mantas there are schooling reef fish, turtles, triggerfish, blue tangs, stonefish and scorpionfish. Maldives Magazine recommends it to newly certified divers and notes that its sandy bottom suits buoyancy practice.
