Dofí Sud
Also known as: Túnel del Dofí
On the south face of Meda Petita a small dolphin statue at about 12 m marks the entrance to a bright tunnel that crosses the island and exits at around 5 m on the other side. Nearby, the 'cathedral' is a second, much longer passage of about 70 m, entered at 20 m and left at 27 m, and the system also has an air chamber at about 10 m. Shafts of light through openings in the rock create striking backlit scenes. Slipper lobsters, conger eels, lobsters and groupers live in and around the tunnels, and a wall with red coral starts at only about 12 m. Outside, vertical walls, siphons and arches extend deeper.
