Tres Cocos
Tres Cocos lies about a mile north of Hat Caye Drop-off and takes its name from a group of three tall coconut palms on Long Caye. The shallow reef and the wall below have large overhangs where spotted morays, lion's paw sea cucumbers, arrow crabs and coral shrimp hide. Black coral grows on the wall, turtles graze on the sandy slopes, and black groupers and jacks hunt above the reef. Following the wall north, sand flats with conch, rays and peacock flounders replace the reef, and coral arches adorn the wall. Sources rate it as suitable for beginners.
