Sheep Dip
Also known as: Sheep Dip Cave
The site takes its name from the old custom of bringing sheep to the shore to dunk and bless them, which also rid them of parasites. Today the easy beach entry and very little current make it a favourite for beginners and training. Divers swim through natural arches and over rock gardens covered in sponges and soft corals, with caves and overhangs to explore. Octopus, moray eels, damselfish, bream, groupers, wrasse and pipefish are typical, and odd objects such as a kettle lie on the seabed.
