The site lies off a shooting range, and bullets can often be found on the bottom, which gave it its name. Varied rock walls, crevices and semi-enclosed caves alternate with small bays and Posidonia seagrass meadows. Low currents and changing depths make it a favourite for beginners and snorkellers. Divers see nudibranchs, moray eels, scorpionfish, wrasse, starfish, fireworms and colonies of the Mediterranean endemic pillow coral, while larger fish keep to the caves. The Nail lies a short distance away and offers a similar dive.
