Eel Cove
Eel Cove is a relatively shallow and protected site, which makes it a common choice for groups with new divers. Small coral heads are scattered through the cove, and shining a light into them often reveals eels. In spring, the area around the corner to the north-west has sergeant majors guarding their egg nests, with swarms of raccoon butterflyfish waiting to raid them. Jack's Diving Locker lists it among its favourite boat sites, and the state maintains two day-use moorings there.
