Ilha de Imboassica
The rocky shore drops to a sandy bottom and is riddled with crevices. On the western side a small shoal concentrates fish and corals, and rays often lie on the sand. The shallow rocks carry large colonies of Tubastraea sun coral, an invasive Caribbean species spreading through the bay. The eastern side is a useful alternative when the weather turns and a south-westerly wind blows.
