El Fanadir North
El Fanadir is about 3 km long, so dive centres split it into a northern and a southern site. Along the wall runs a sandy plateau, narrow at first and wider further south, that ends in a drop-off to deeper water. The reef is famous for well-camouflaged and venomous animals: stonefish, scorpionfish, lionfish, several moray species and octopus hiding in the wall. Pipefish are abundant and draw these predators, and shoals of silversides near the surface attract hunting tuna and jacks. The current usually comes from the north and is weak, which allows easy drifts from north to south.
