Shaab Iris
Shaab Iris is made up of the south-easternmost ergs of the Abu Nugar area. Scattered coral heads stand on a sandy bottom, so divers can settle on the sand without touching coral while watching small fish. Red Sea Partner says the site would deserve the name 'Aquarium' if another reef did not already carry it. Schools of fish and soft corals dominate, and eagle rays pass by. The site sees relatively little traffic, which gives it an untouched feel.
