El Violín
Dive masters describe the site as two dives in one. The cove, where rock and coral formations spread out from the beach, is an easy dive, and in winter the sandy bottom is often covered with rays: southern, round, yellow, butterfly, shovelnose and electric rays as well as occasional mantas. Rays bury themselves in the sand, so divers are advised to keep off the bottom. The outer rock is better suited to experienced divers, with two small caves that need a torch, plenty of coral, nurse sharks, turtles and lobsters. Pufferfish, boxfish and eels are common throughout.
