The Sisters
The Sisters are named after two medium-sized pinnacles that rise close to the surface and drop steeply on their seaward sides. Branching and table corals crown the tops, while the walls are covered in hundreds of feather stars with squat lobsters, clingfish and crinoid shrimps. Giant clams sit in the coral, and fairy basslets and anthias crowd the reef top. Schools of fusiliers swim in the blue, dogtooth tuna pass by, and sea snakes and lionfish can be seen. Critter hunters look for leaf scorpionfish, scribbled pipefish and nudibranchs on the pinnacle tops.
