Kızılada
Also known as: Kizilada · Kızıl Ada · Red Island · Red Island Lighthouse
Kızılada, the Red Island, guards the exit of Fethiye harbour and carries a lighthouse built by the French in 1910. Divers start at the south-western point and follow the slope to a ledge that looks out over a wide basin dropping to between 35 and 40 metres, where large groupers are sometimes seen. A narrow cave at depth is packed with shrimps and only suits a few divers at a time because the silt is easily stirred up. Shallower, the rocks form a natural amphitheatre where divers can settle and watch the fish. The surrounding plateau is full of octopus and moray dens and is a good area for nudibranchs.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
