U-352
U-352 was depth-charged by the US Coast Guard cutter Icarus on 9 May 1942 and scuttled by its crew, and divers found the wreck in 1974. Most of the outer casing has rusted away, so what divers see today is the pressure hull with its hatches, gun mount, diving planes and a propeller. The boat is small enough to swim around more than once on a single dive. Schools of baitfish and amberjacks hang above the hull, while rays, turtles, grouper and sand tiger sharks are seen around it. Dive centres strongly discourage penetration of the wreck.
