Papoose
The hull rests almost completely inverted on the sand, with the stern and rudder area forming the highest point and the bow lying low with its anchors still in the hawse pipes. Several openings allow certified wreck divers to penetrate as far as the boiler room. Olympus Dive Center reports around 15 to 20 sand tiger sharks around the wreck on a typical day. Turtles, jacks, stingrays and occasionally manta rays are also reported. NOAA and local researchers now identify this wreck as the tanker W.E. Hutton, but divers still call it the Papoose.
