Cape Douglas

Cape Douglas on Fernandina is visited only by liveaboards on western itineraries. The wall dive is famous for marine iguanas grazing algae underwater, and penguins and flightless cormorants are seen nearby. Red-lipped batfish, bullhead sharks and mola mola are also reported, with baleen whales in season. Cold upwelling from the Cromwell current keeps the water cold all year.
