Es Banc
Also known as: Es Blanc
A rocky platform runs parallel to the coast and is cut off by a vertical wall with a large cleft and big fallen blocks at its base. Along the wall a small arch, split by a crack that lets light through, shelters brown meagre, red mullet and groupers. The flat white sand at 23 m is the place to look for small rays, greater weevers, cuttlefish and resting dentex, with squid from February to May. Schools of barracuda often hang over the surrounding Posidonia meadows. The dive ends through a narrow one-diver swim-through between platform and wall, home to cardinalfish and nudibranchs, that exits up a chimney from 13 to 8 m.
