Vai a Heva
Mike Rapu Diving Center calls Vai a Heva the place where everything starts: courses, try dives and first open water dives. Coral reef merges with a flat sand floor that, on sunny days, reflects the light and widens the view. Many of the species found around the island can be seen here without a long boat ride. At certain times of the year, when moon and tides coincide, large schools of surgeonfish known locally as maito move over the reef. Rapa Nui Dive Center lists it among its sites inside the bay for its corals and biodiversity.
