Seagull Island

Also known as: Lemos

Creta's Happy Divers anchors in 5 to 7 m in the south bay of the islet, which is protected from wind and waves, and leads routes for both beginners and experienced divers. A typical dive follows a wall down to 14 to 20 m and returns through a small underwater gorge from 14 m up to 6 m. Mediterranean View Diving describes a seabed of huge stones, each one covered with life such as lionfish, moray eels and groupers. Barracuda are often seen in the blue, and Happy Divers says a friendly group of them tends to follow divers near the end of the dive. Pottery fragments and ancient amphorae can also be found.
