Blue Cave

Also known as: Galazio Spilaio

The wall drops vertically from the surface far beyond diving depth, and the boat anchors right in front of the cave. In the entrance hall the ceiling rises above the water, so divers can see waves breaking overhead. At the narrow back end fresh water meets sea water and stalactites and stalagmites appear. On the right a siphon of about 15 m leads to a second hall with small windows to the open sea. Sponges and red and soft corals cover the rock, and white bream, jacks, snappers, groupers and lobsters are seen.
