Yucab
Also known as: Yucab Reef · Yucab Wall
The reef heads are only a few metres high and are swept by current, which keeps the coral healthy. It is one of the places where the endemic splendid toadfish is seen regularly, together with lobsters, crabs, shrimps and pipefish. Large schools of grunts and schoolmasters gather along the main reef, and French and queen angelfish are common. Nurse sharks and green, hawksbill and loggerhead turtles feed here. The dive can start in turtle grass, where seahorses and stingrays are found.
