Santa Rosa Wall
Also known as: Santa Rosa
The reef crest is made of rocky outcrops up to about 12 m tall with sandy areas behind them, and big tunnels cut through it to the wall. Below, the wall drops steeply with ledges, overhangs and giant sponges, and the northern section has deeper tunnels and caves. Turtles, groupers, angelfish, scrawled filefish and toadfish are common, and a giant green moray is often seen. Nurse sharks and eagle rays visit, and great hammerheads have been reported. The site is close to San Miguel, so it can be busy, and it is often combined with the Cedral wall on nitrox.
