Paradise Reef
Also known as: Paraiso · Paraiso Reef
Coral heads of a few metres rise from sand along the ridges and shelter grunts, snappers, sergeant majors and many queen angelfish. It is one of the best sites on the island for the endemic splendid toadfish, and seahorses, scorpionfish and stingrays are found in the sand towards shore. At night octopus, lobsters, crabs and eels come out and bioluminescent plankton can be seen on the safety stop. The usual drift runs from south to north, so divers must surface before reaching the cruise ships when the current is strong. Paradise was named after Rancho Paraíso, and its northern part is now under the cruise terminal.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
