Les Filets anti-sous-marins
Also known as: Filets anti sous-marins
The net barrier stretched for more than 8 km between Porquerolles and Bagaud to close the roadstead of Hyères, and was kept up in turn by French, Italian and German forces. Today five piles of nets, cables and moorings lie on the sand and divers swim from one heap to the next. Fan mussels are common around them. The site is sheltered by the Cap des Mèdes on mistral days and is considered an easy dive.
