Le Ferrando
Also known as: Le Fernando
The collier Ferrando was rammed by the Amiral Cécille of the naval squadron in the small pass of Porquerolles in July 1893, after its captain misjudged the squadron's speed; nobody died. Today the wreck is mostly a field of plates lying at about 23 to 26 m in the bay of Hyères. Mio Palmo presents it as an easy level 1 dive. Wannadive, however, reports that diving it is forbidden because explosives lie near the wreck.
