Le Cimentier
Also known as: Barge en ciment
Nobody knows exactly when or why the Cimentier sank; the commonly accepted idea is that it was scuttled during the Second World War to break the swell between Porquerolles and the Petit Langoustier, which fits its missing engine and propeller. The bow is still recognisable with reinforcing bars sticking out, and the stern still shows a balcony. Its many gaps are easy to explore and are surrounded by schools of wrasse and damselfish. Mio Palmo mentions a resident grouper and large squid in spring.
