TBM Avenger Plane Wreck
Also known as: Avenger
The Avenger went down off Anacapa during a training flight after colliding with another aircraft. It now sits upright on a sandy bottom about 40 ft from a reef, still recognisable as a plane although it is deteriorating. The wreck attracts fish, and its depth makes it a demanding dive. Like all wrecks in the park, it is protected and may only be photographed.
