Atlantis Reef

Years of protection have let marine life flourish on the high and low profile reef around the pinnacles. The upper parts are crusted with red bait and anemones, while deeper areas carry bryozoans and colourful sea fans, with a dense sea fan forest to the north. Blacktails, hottentot, fransmadam and zebra fish school over the reef, and large roman and janbruin hide in cracks. Many nudibranchs are found here, and the sand at the base is a nursery for puffadder shysharks.
