Reefworld Pontoon
Also known as: Fantasea Reef World pontoon · Hardy Reef pontoon
Reefworld is a pontoon permanently moored on Hardy Reef, about two hours by boat from Airlie Beach. The dive follows a wall with ledges and caves, with good coral down to about 10 m beside a channel that is around 60 m deep. A giant Queensland groper of roughly 2 m is the resident star, joined by Maori wrasse, trevally, coral trout, batfish, titan triggerfish and angelfish. Turtles visit regularly. Currents are consistent away from the wall, so a drift is possible, and the site is exposed to northerlies.
